Yes.



Lowdown:

Fernando Meirelle's film about two young men's lives in a squalid Rio de Janeiro slum is facinating. At times almost too harsh and depressing to watch, this film will stay with you. While not for everyone, this is a great film, one of the best since the turn of the century.
